Privacy Policy
Last updated: July 13, 2026
Thank you for using Swipni Photo Cleaner (the “App”). We are committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains what data the App accesses, how it is used, and the choices available to you. It applies to users worldwide, including users in the European Economic Area, the United States, Brazil, and Canada.
1. Data We Access
Swipni Photo Cleaner does not require registration, a user account, or your name or email address to provide its core functionality.
With your permission, the App may access:
- Photo Library — to display photos and videos, identify duplicates or similar items, and let you choose what to keep or delete. The App uses Apple's native Photos framework.
- Device storage information — to show file sizes and estimate how much space can be freed.
Photo analysis is performed on your device. We do not remotely access, copy, upload, or transmit the content of your photos or videos to our servers.
When the App is first opened, it sends a limited first-party event confirming only that an installation occurred and the date and time of that event. The event does not contain a user ID, installation ID, device ID, advertising ID, country, device model, App version, Apple ID, or photo library information. We do not retain the IP address associated with this event.
For in-app purchases and subscriptions, Apple may send our server an event such as a purchase, renewal, expiration, failed renewal, revocation, or refund. We retain only the event type, date and time, the Swipni product involved, and whether the event occurred in Apple's production or sandbox environment. We do not retain Apple transaction IDs, original transaction IDs, app account tokens, storefront information, or customer identifiers.
We do not collect or store your name, email address, contacts, precise location, photo contents, videos, documents, Apple ID, or advertising identifier.
2. No Advertising or Third-Party Tracking
The App does not use the Facebook SDK, Meta Pixel, advertising SDKs, third-party analytics SDKs, cross-app tracking, cookies, or tracking pixels. We do not use IDFA and do not track you across apps or websites owned by other companies. The limited installation event described above is sent directly to our own API and is used only for aggregate product analytics and service operation.
Crash information may be available to us only through Apple's built-in diagnostic systems when a user has chosen to share diagnostics with app developers in iOS settings. Apple governs that collection and sharing.
3. Purposes and Legal Basis
On-device access is used only to provide the photo review, duplicate detection, deletion, and storage information you request. Limited installation and purchase-event data is used to measure aggregate first opens and aggregate purchase or subscription events, maintain the service, and improve reliability. We do not use these events to build individual user profiles. Where GDPR applies, the legal basis is performance of the requested service and our legitimate interest in operating, securing, and improving the App.
4. Children's Privacy
The App is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children beyond the limited technical data described in this Policy. If you believe a child has provided personal information to us, contact us so we can investigate and delete it where applicable.
5. Data Sharing and Sale
We do not sell or rent personal data. We use infrastructure providers, including website hosting and database providers, to process the limited installation and purchase-event data on our behalf solely to operate the service. Because the App's photo processing happens on-device, neither we nor these providers receive your photo library content. We may also respond to a valid legal request only to the extent we hold relevant information.
6. International Transfers and Retention
We do not transfer or retain your photo library content on our servers. Items accessed by the App remain on your device and are controlled through iOS. You can revoke photo access at any time in iOS Settings → Privacy & Security → Photos.
Limited installation and purchase-event records may be processed in countries where our infrastructure providers operate and are retained for up to 12 months, unless a shorter period is required by law or the data is needed to investigate abuse or comply with a legal obligation.
7. Your Privacy Rights
Depending on your location, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or object to processing of personal data. Since we do not maintain user accounts, store photo library content, or attach installation or purchase events to a user or device identifier, many of these rights are satisfied by design. You may contact us with any privacy request.
California and Nevada residents: we do not sell personal information.
8. External Links
The App or this website may link to external services such as Apple. Their privacy practices are governed by their own policies, and we encourage you to review them.
9. Apple's Role
Apple Inc. is not a party to this Privacy Policy and is not responsible for the App's privacy practices. Apple's services are governed by Apple's Privacy Policy.
10. Policy Updates
We may update this Privacy Policy periodically. Material changes will be reflected by a new “Last updated” date on this page.
